Our January 22 meeting was well attended and we welcomed a number of guests - Jocelyn Nix, Julie Vanexan, Wally Jarvis, and Steve Weiss. EMS Principal Stan MacVicar was our guest speaker; he gave an interesting talk on the “C-Pen” which is an assistive device that scans and reads text to students with learning differences.
Our club purchased six for the school and we were thrilled to learn how this device can help students. The 50/50 draw was won by Frieda but she did not pull the joker so the pot grows. A lot of good news was shared through Happy Dollars by Christina, Les, Holly, Frieda, and Trinda!
